I. These names show that God is faithful to His covenant promises (Ezra 2:1-2; Daniel 9:1-4; Genesis 12:1-3; 15:18).
II. God does not need large numbers to do what He wants to do (Ezra 2:64; Acts 1:15).
III. The Lord notices what we do for Him even if no one else does (Ezra 2:2, 36-39, 40; especially note Ezra 2:43-54, 55-57, 59-63; Matthew 10:42).
IV. They gave generously according to what they had (Ezra 2:68-69; 1 Corinthians 16:2; 2 Corinthians 8:12; 9:7-8).
V. Their return was all about worship (Ezra 2:65; John 4:23-24).
Main Idea: God is faithful to His promises to His worshipers.
