I. Jesus is eager to eat the Passover meal with His disciples because it points forward to the Kingdom (Luke 22:14 18).
II. Jesus introduces new symbolism for the bread and the cup that shows His death inaugurating the New Covenant (Luke 22:19 20).
Main Idea: We come to the Lord’s Table looking back to Jesus’ sacrifice and looking forward to the celebration meal in the Kingdom.
