The proper attitudes of the Christian life are only possible by a work of the Holy Spirit (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18).
Joy in the Spirit – 1 Thess. 1:6; Romans 14:17; Galatians 5:22
Prayer in the Spirit – Romans 8:26-27; 1 Corinthians 14:15; Ephesians 6:18; Philippians 1:19
Thanksgiving in the Spirit – 1 Corinthians 14:16
Though Christians should test all things against God’s word, they should not quench the clear work of the Spirit (1 Thessalonians 5:19-22).
