“Authority Over the Sabbath”
I. Jesus answers an attack against His authority by declaring that, as Messiah, He can do with the Sabbath whatever He chooses (Matthew 12;1-9).
II. Jesus’ healing on the Sabbath triggers the religious leaders’ decision to kill Him (Matthew 12:9-14).
Main Idea: Jesus shows His authority over Sabbath law by His words and works.
